During the 1930's, Epiphone ended up being one of the small number of manufacturers to consider jazz music earnestly and they introduced the Sheraton, a hollow bodied f-hole guitar which allowed guitarists to play as fully as they wished without the feedback they were obtaining with similar guitars.
