black, white, and silver wedding?

Ashley D posted:

I 'm not sure if the silver is emerging as often as needed. The bm black dress with silver ribbon, individuals have chalecos silver cake of black / white with the first silver, cloth of black / white board, and a tree trunk that has a crystalline silver. We 've just decided on a flower that is a lilly cove. We need a little decorative black / white damascus as votive candles, frames and some other things. How do I add money? What color flowers would be acceptable to use in addition to white? I would prefer a little color and I 'm which tilts purple. Advice please:) We also considered taking the silver and wear black, white and purple. But it seems certain the purple curtains difficult b / c only goes with black and purple also seems a somewhat tacky for a wedding.

I like the idea of using a little purple. Not too much because you don’t want to change the overall feel of the wedding. Use a lavender color maybe…

purple is fine..leave the silver too

    my equation is usually
    2 colors(purple and black) +
    ivory or white (white)
+ the color of a metal (usually the same color as the rings) silver or gold (use as accents to everything)

    so use them all

you can find silver candles if you’re looking for more silver. Also, in the center pieces, you could get some plastic silver decorations to mix in with the flowers.

A light purple would look good, and it shouldn’t be hard to find light purple flowers to slip in. A light blue would look good too, but harder to find flowers.

    hope that helps.

We did black, white, and silver. I added a little bit of purple with just the flowers and it looked great! I had silver bridesmaid dresses and the groomsmen had silver vests and ties. I think though with the silver ribbon on the bridesmaids and the favors will all tie together. You should look for the silver vests on the groomsmen though, it looked really sharp. Everything you have sounds lovely and I’m sure it will look great. I worried it would look funny because the only color we had was the purple flowers but it really made them pop. We hung them from the head table and they really stood out in a good way in the reception room.

I think that sounds great, you should keep all the colours, ours is Black, white, silver and royal blue.
What about having a purple wrap for the evening for you and/or bridesmaids (if it may be cold) or something purple in the centrepieces, like some purple glass pebbles.
You could have purple ribbon on your bouquet…..the ideas are endless

we are pretty much having the same wedding!! however my colors are black and gold with a deep red accent (it’s a christmas wedding). the bridesmaid dresses are black w/ a gold sash and deep red rose bouquets. we are having black table linens, crystal trees (painted gold / clear crystals), gold plate chargers and then to bring a little of the red accent in there will be red rose petals in the middle of the table around the tree (and lots of votive candles).

if anything, i would take the white out and stick to black, silver and purple. you can use the purple accent, but only with the flowers…it’s an accent color, you don’t need it everywhere.

if you are worried about purple being tacky (which i agree, it can be sometimes if it’s not the right shade) choose a more classic color like red. i was just at a wedding and the colors were red and silver, they looked really nice together!!

as far as adding more silver, you could use silver chargers on the tables, which would look nice with the silverwear (there’s more silver!) or you could get silver votive candle holders to put under the trees on the table (it will also help to reflect the crystals more)

regarding your crystal trees…are you making or buying them? if you are making them, where are you getting the branches and crystals? i can’t decide where or which ones to get, so any suggestions would be great! thanks!!

    Good luck! it sounds beautiful!!
