I am very clueless about DIY wedding invitations and I need some help?

well you can make them yourself and its so cheap. You can use ribbon,lace,beads,or pearls and type it up on the computer.
here some clues
Google for lots of ideas. We made ours at home with our printer. We had some fancy gold paper, but we bought several different types to test.
I designed them, worked out the wording and gave it to the computer expert in the house for printing. It worked really well.
I can’t give you any website, sorry….but I can tell you what we did for ours if that helps?
I got some A4 pink metallic paper, folded it in three (so it’s envelope size - saves on postage!!!) I printed the details onto some pearl metallic card and cut it out a little smaller than the other card, so the pink formed like a ‘border’ around it. Cut a piece of white ribbon, fold it into a little bow, and put a gold heart-shaped ’split pin’ or ‘brad’ through the whole lot to hold it together and you’re done!
Ours were cheap (we got all supplies on Ebay) and with having them enveople size, you don’t have to ruin them by folding and you save on postage. One thing though - if you are using metallic paper, you will need to use a laser printer not an inkjet, as the ink will smudge if it’s an inkjet.

My husband and I bought nice quality paper in the colors that we chose - Dark (hot) pink, deep orange and deep yellow. Our envelope was deep yellow, our “cover” was deep orange (a plain piece of paper folded over to hold the actual invitation) - and the directions were in hot pink. For the actual invitation - we used clear vellum. We printed the invitation in black - it was very cool against the clear background. This is a cheap alternative - yet very chic. I used my PC to print them. My guests mentioned how unique and lovely the invitations were. It is very cool and very hip. Try it out - it’s very “sexy.”
Go to the nearest Crafts store and ask if they have classes or register to receive invitation catalogs. You can then copy the design. I did my bridal shower invitations with plain white cards, ribbon and glitter rub-ons from Target. Again copied it from expensive invitations.
I’ve seen some quality DIY invitations at. There’s also a lot of tips there that came handy during our wedding.
Just browse the categories.
Go to a paper supply store and buy the blank invites - and any matching RSVP or thank you cards you want. They come with a template to use in your computer, so you can print them out at home. Very easy to do, and it’s nice that you can print out more later if you think of other people to invite.
It has been a while since I purchased wedding invitations and I am a big do it yourselfer, but have you priced invitations. Contact your local printers and look at what they have and get a prices. Sometimes these projects end up saving little or no money and really can eat up a lot of your time. Often, if you can locate a new business you can get excellent prices. This goes for your flowers too. It’s been a long time, but when I married I used a florist who’d just opened shop and hadn’t commissioned a wedding yet. She gave me a spectacular price, did a wonderful job and got other customers as a result. It was a win-win situation.
You can download FREE printable wedding invitations at Hewlett Packard. Then you can print off a couple of really good copies, (at high quality settings) and take them to a place that does colour photocopies, and have them printed on white cardstock or a pastel colour such as ivory, cream, pale pink, soft yellow, pale lilac, etc.

Use them as is, or Embelish with sheer or satin ribbons, or layer them with cardstock or mulberry paper.
Our daughter used hand made gift wrap paper from the dollar store for the back sheet. It has pressed flowers and leaves in it and there is a parchment layer over that, finished with the invite printed on vellum and all three layers tied together with sheer ribbon.
The PDFs at HP can be downloaded and then you type in your information, print it off, and get copies made. You are not limited to just the ones designed for weddings. Look at party invitations and also the stationary and cards section. The possibilities are endless. I just LOVE HP’s download section.
There are also downloads for scrapbooking available at Canon when you are ready for that. Start at the patterned papers
The best thing about them is that they are free, and they add more designs every few weeks.
I had the same problem. I went to Michael’s and found some beautiful invitation kits. They’re really easy and it doesn’t take long and they have A LOT of different designs/colors. They also look very professional, you would never know that my invitations weren’t done by a stationary store. As well, they are very cheap. You can get simple ones for as low as $20 for about 50 invites (and that includes reply cards too). Mine were $40 for 50 invites and they were one of the more elaborate ones. Also, keep an eye out for Michael’s flyers because they often contain coupons as much as 50% off, so you can have beautiful invitations for super cheap! If you have Photoshop or Illustrator, you can make really cool ones. Then just buy good paper and print them out!
