the clothes pin. give everyone a clothes pin, and when any person wearing it says the grooms name, someone takes their clothes pin. the one with the most by the end of the night / day / evening wins.
I went to a bridal shower where all the girls got a banana on a tray, there was a five-minute timer, and they all had to make the banana into the shape of a penis with only their mouths.
The girl who won…wow. It was DISTURBINGLY lifelike. This is only a good one if the women in the family have good dirty senses of humour. Mind you, it was the only fun bridal shower I have ever been to.

The Clothespin Game To begin, choose a “buzz word” such as bride, groom, wedding, etc. When each guests comes into the party, hand them a clothespin. Then, if someone hears another person saying the “buzz word,” they get to take that person’s clothespin. The person with the most clothespins at the end of the party wins. (Another variation is that a guest loses her clothespin when she crosses her legs, a hard task for a party full of women!)
Purse Scavenger Hunt or Let’s Make a Deal Remember that old game show, Let’s Make a Deal? At the end of every show, Monty Hall would give audience members money for a specific unusual item. This is the same idea. Divide guests into teams of two or three, giving them a list of slightly unusual items, including a few “why in the world would you carry that in a purse?” items. Assign points to each item based on the likelihood that someone will have it. (a lipstick carries 10 points, a can opener 90 points). The team with the most points is the winner. Another variation is to call out items as the bride is opening presents, giving a small individual prize for each item.
The Wedding Night
This one is particularly fun at a lingerie shower. As the bride unwraps her gifts, have a bridesmaid quietly write down everything she says, such as “oooh, this is pretty” and “where does this go?”. At the end, have that bridesmaid announce, “this is what the bride will say on her wedding night” and read the list out loud
BINGO is fun. Give everyone a blank grid. Everyone fills it in with gifts that they think the bride will receive (sheets, lingerie, blender, etc.). As the bride opens her gifts, people cross off the presents on their sheet. First person to get BINGO at each table wins the centerpiece or other prize.
That’s the only bridal shower game I’ve ever played. All the other showers I’ve been to were mostly just socializing. : )
Love Song Trivia
Play clips of song that all have the word “love” in the title. Guest have to name that tune on their list…one with the most right wins.
Famous TV Wives (Wilma Flintsone, Peg Bundy, Mrs. Brady etc)
Write a famous wife name and put it on the back of the player. she shows her back to everyone and then can ask up to 20 questions to the crowd that are answered with either yes or no to try to figure out who she is. Have her win a small price…like a nice chocolate or something if she can guess who she is.
Here are two games: and some printable shower games:
We often play Bridal Price is Right. Here’s how it works.
You get a bunch of (inexpensive) things together that the bride may need now that she’s married. For instance, at one shower, it was a kitchen shower, so I basically stocked her pantry with the necessities or stuff that I knew she really loved (ie: flour, sugar, her favourite cereal, her favourite cookies, etc…) You get the idea.
Then at the shower I held up the item and asked each of the guests to guess how much it cost and write it down. There were about 10 items and at the end, all the guests were asked to add up their items and the winner was the person who was the closest (without going over, of course!).
It was a hit and the bride got some stuff that she needed.
Be sure to tell your guests at which store you bought everything and you may want to have the bill handy. Some people are VERY competitive at this game! lol
